Richmond, VA, June 30, 2026 — Lozen Advisory LLC will host When AI Carries Your Name: A Briefing for Leaders Using AI at Work, an online executive briefing on Thursday, July 30, 2026, designed for executives, business owners, managers, consultants, and advisors who are beginning to use AI to move faster, but need a clearer way to think about judgment, approval, and reputation risk when AI-assisted work moves through their name or authority.
AI-assisted work is now approved, signed, and submitted under leaders’ names faster than most organizations can verify it. In 2023, attorneys in a Manhattan federal court case submitted a legal brief built on AI-generated case citations that did not exist. A technology publication later issued corrections on 41 of 77 AI-assisted articles after errors and unattributed material surfaced post-publication. In both cases, the work had already passed through a review step before the problem was caught.
Approval alone is not the same as verification. That gap, between approval and verification, is exactly what “human in the loop” language was supposed to close. It has not.
Human oversight is not the same as human accountability. Human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop models describe intervention timing, but they do not answer the board’s attribution question: who is responsible for the AI-assisted decision, who has authority to stop it, and what governance record shows that accountability was assigned before the system acted?
The briefing introduces the Name Standard℠, Lozen Advisory’s governance framework for evaluating whether human oversight of AI-assisted work is real and documented, or merely ceremonial.
