This program examines the professional responsibility issues that arise when lawyers use, supervise, or rely on generative AI. Rather than focusing primarily on AI tools, it addresses what meaningful human review requires when a lawyer's name, judgment, and professional authority attach to AI-assisted work.
Topics include bias, confidentiality, verification of legal authorities, employer-mandated AI use, and the techniques lawyers need to identify and challenge AI/LLM output.
